Sunday, October 3rd 2010

Last week I turned Charlie's show on in the staff lunchroom at my workplace & danced! Can you believe after doing this show 2 years I just now realized our lunchroom picks up 95.9fm? We obviously get along well in the music department, so I was stoked to listen up!

But that's all in the past, man!

This week was inspired by the 17+ bands I'd seen in the 14 days I've been off-air. I saw 17 shows in September, and last week I saw 7 shows in 6 days, capping it off with 2 nights of Weber Brothers & BA Johnston - two incredible live acts! It was time to recharge, but I was fully pumped & agrivated to spin some tunes!!!

Murder By Death - Kentucky Bourbon
BA Johnston - She Is A Twinkie (Oct 1st & 2nd - The Standard)
The Burning Hell - The Berlin Conference
Brand New - Okay I Believe You But My Tommy Gun Don't
Richard Laviolette - Aging Recycling Plant (Sept 24th - house show)
Grinderman - What I Know
Ratatat - Wildcat
Holy Fuck - Latin America (Oct 5th - Pyramid)
Menomena - Taos
The Cat Empire - Voodoo Cowboy
Christina Martin - My Red Wine (Sept 29th - Lo Pub)
The Arcade Fire - My Body Is A Cage (Sept 23rd - MTS Centre*)
Dropkick Murphys - Never Alone
Novillero - A Little Tradition (Oct 9th - J Fox's)
The Magnificent 7's - Rise To Heaven (Oct 1st & 2nd - The Standard)
Jenny Omnichord - A Theoretical Love Song (Sept 24th - house show)
Cuff The Duke - Listen To Your Heart (Sept 29th - Lo Pub)
K'Naan - Wash It Down (Sept 29th - Burt*)
BA Johnston - Tetris Junkie (Oct 1st & 2nd - The Standard)
The Weber Brothers - Screaming Ever Since (Sept 30th & Oct 1st - Times)
The Hold Steady - Slapped Actress

*Means I missed out & am slightly heartbroken & don't want to talk about it.

Next week might be my last show ever cause I'm getting the fuck out of dodge the week after! I still have some tricks up my sleeve rest assured!
